Balmain, Dawny... late spring in Sydney at its best...
We had a wunnerful time at Dawny... but that's not news... look at Glistening Dave's pano here... ah, the serenity... the peleton wends its way home... to w well-earned barbie and fruit spread...
They do it so well on the boardwalk at the Dawn Fraser Pool. This swim is run by Balmain Water Polo, a club with a history, at a venue with a history, against a backdrop with some of the most enigmatic history that Yrpean Stray'a has to offer.
For the first time, the swim went anti-clockwise around Cockatoo Island, in view of the four ferry services due to call into the Cockatoo Island while the swim was taking place. As it happened, only three swimmers were delayed, according to swim organisers, which wasn't bad considering how many had to get past that critical point of the ferry wharf in very quick time.

 ics by Glistening Dave (the noice ones) and os.c. os.c uses Olympus cameras, particularly the Tough range, which we stuff down our budgies until we need to rip it out at critical times, usually when we spot swimmers embarrassing themselves.
